After successfully winning the first test against India in the Anderson – Tendulkar Trophy 2025 , England has now faced a more humiliating loss at EDGBASTON in the 2nd Test. The whole match England could not figure out how to face Indian fast bowler on this pitch. This can be seen through out the match that England could not hold onto our bowlers.

In the second innings , India with a lead of 183 runs , came to give a final total in the second innings , this time Y.jaiswal could not make a big impact but K.l RAHUL did his job to play as an anchor 55(84), it was clear from the playing style that indian palyers are trying to maximise the total , that would be difficult for England to chase.

Capatain Gill again proves why he is captain scoring a clean and paced knock of 161 (162) , back to back in 2 innings , followed by Rishabh Pant 65(58) and Ravindra Jadeja 69(118), which took India to a defendable total of 427 / 6 D.

Now England has to chase 608 In total , and they failed to do it. Coming for second innings the English players looked clueless. In the second innings only 1 English batsmen has able to score a half century J.Smith 88(99) , while none of the other came close to that and collapsed down on 271 while chasing 608, resulting in their defeat against India with a massive margin of 336 Runs.
