Despite the imposition of tariffs , India has still not stepped back an inch , instead keeps making its allies more strong with Russia. Yesterday India and Russia have signed a joint pact to produce passenger aircraft , just before the visit of Vladimir Putin in India , shows the resilient ties between both the nations , despite being pressurized by the United states.
Indian owned company Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. has came in joint agreement with Russia’s United Aircraft Corp. to manufacture a civil commuter aircraft SJ-100 ,HAL said yesterday.
This agreement , inked in Moscow , allows Hindustan Aeronautics to assemble the Sukhoi Superjet 100.
This is a very important move , as it will take India one step ahead towards self reliance in civil aviation and competing in a market of American and European monopoly.
